General Manager reports to a VP/GM and will coordinate all PLAD Engineering development activities with R & D, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Value Engineering and Engineering Product Managers and Product Marketing to assure that all product requirements, specifications, release, quality and manufacturability and margin goals are met.
As the Program Director, you will be responsible for the design, performance, technology transfer to manufacture, marketing and profitability of PLAD product and product CIP. You will lead executive design meetings and make decisions on priorities and milestones integral to the success of the PLAD programs. You will be responsible for all the milestones from generating the program plan through delivering the product to the customer.
Responsibilities:
Direct and manage all internal product engineering development and CIP programs on the Plasma Doping (PLAD) product line to deliver:
- PLAD process throughput at the performance levels specified by the marketing MRD and key customer requirements
- PLAD doping process control (dose repeatability and uniformity, pre-anneal junction depth repeatability and uniformity) at the performance levels specified by the marketing MRD and key customer requirements
- PLAD process contamination (particles, metals, other foreign materials) at the performance levels specified by the marketing MRD and key customer requirements
- PLAD product reliability at the performance levels specified by the marketing MRD and key customer requirements
Qualifications:
MS (Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in product engineering positions with major manufacturers of capital (process equipment for semiconductor industry.
2+ years of experience managing product development or product engineering team on a
plasma product.
Must have strong understanding of plasma processing, key design concepts for state-of-the art plasma processing tools and applications (e.g., RIE (plasma etch) and PECVD) in the IC industry.
Proven track record of design and commercial introduction of plasma processing tools for advanced IC applications.
Hands-on experience with advanced process development, qualification, sustaining, and troubleshooting of plasma processes and tools in advanced CMOS technology.
Must have strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
Extensive customer contact and travel (approximately 25% - U.S. & International) is required.
Must be skilled in Project Management techniques (i.e. MS Project Tool, Critical Path Analysis etc).
Proven experience in problem solving, instilling a sense of accountability, process improvement initiatives, and releasing a product to a market based on aggressive schedules and tight budgets.
Adept at formulating business strategy, preparing the business plan, and presenting to internal customers and marketing partners.
