Provide best in class technical support to the solar industry all along the value chain for silicon and silicon based solutions, as well as being involved in business development and demonstrating company’s product to the marketplace.
•Identify, develop, and manage technologies required for dopant characterization and activation.
•Provide process engineering expertise to support customer tools.
•Responsible for designing and conducting experiments to develop doping/implant processes for advanced semiconductor processing.
•Generate technical reports and presentations.
•Responsible for making presentations to customers.
•Responsible for making presentations at national and international conferences.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of the company’s complex capital equipment and systems, their electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical components, software control systems, and/or processes. Determine design approaches and parameters. Review and evaluate designs or processes.
•Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Evaluate supplier capabilities to provide required products or services. Recommend approach in Make-or-Buy decisions as necessary.
•Design and conduct independent technical experiments, analyses or tests pertaining to the development of new methods, processes, and standards, modification of current material, component, software, or process specifications, and resolution to complex technical problems. Define problems and objectives, develop method of approach, design of experiment, and organize means to achieve desired results. Analyze results, generate reports, and provide recommendations accordingly. Direct implementation of required changes and modifications.
•Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or phases of moderately complex projects. Develop project plans, including method of approach, schedules, budget, personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies. Coordinate multi-disciplinary support and peer resources outside the project line (across department lines).
•Review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects and/or area of expertise. Acquire and maintain current information on the various materials, processes, engineering or programming techniques. Study the application as it may relate to assigned duties. Advise appropriate personnel of the latest technical and engineering developments.
•Act as a technical resource. Assist in the training and career development of lower level engineers and support staff. Provide technical consultation to other Engineering disciplines, and other departments,organizations and management.
•Participate in resolving inter-project or inter-department problems.
•Must be able to provide competent counsel to immediate management based on experience and judgment. May also provide guidance and leadership for less experienced individual contributors.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: |
•5-7 years related experience (preferably in either photovoltaics or semiconductor related industry).
•Minimum MS (PhD a plus) in Photovoltaics, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Applied Physics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
•Prior research experience in ion beam systems including activation a big plus.
•Front-end process experience such as annealing and ion implant also a big plus.
•Experience in device fabrication or device physics is also a plus.
•Travel up to 25%.
